Hello! My name is Agnieszka (Agnes) Kumar. Born in Gdansk, Poland, I grew up in the greater Chicago area and graduated from Crystal Lake South High School. I went on to University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where I obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology Honors Program. I graduated from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in the top 15% of my class. I was indoctrinated into the Kappa Omicron Upsilon honor dental society as well as awarded the Periodontal Excellence Award. I have completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program in 2002, where I trained hands on, with a specialist in each field of dentistry. I was a commissioned officer in the U.S. Navy as a general dentist at Great Lakes, Illinois, with extensive experience in oral surgery, endodontics, restorative dentistry, and periodontics. My professional membership include the American Dental Association (ADA), the Illinois State Dental Society (ISDS), the McHenry County Dental Society (MSDS), as well as the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD). I take pride in my work, providing utmost quality with great focus on patient comfort. I am passionate about beautiful teeth and healthy mouths. I love to restore a patient's confidence in their smile and restore a "needy" mouth to full oral health. There is nothing more professionally satisfying than to maintain one's adult teeth for a lifetime. I am married to a wonderful man Avatans, originally from India. We have a six year old daughter, Adya. When out of office, I enjoy being a Mom and spending time with family. I love to run (Crystal Lake Half Marathon 2006, Care 4 Breast Cancer 5K 2007 ) and read good novels as well. I thank God everyday for the blessing in my life. I look forward to being your partner in a lasting, beautiful, and healthy smile! |
